The South Lane Cruisers Car Club originated in January of 1990.  Four couples thought it would be fun to organize a car club and do some enjoyable cruising.  It was believed that if other people had as much enthusiasm as us, that we might have fun as a group.

Thanks to a lot of hard work by our members, the first show-cruise was in July 1989 and it was a remarkable success with 32 registered vehicles. Our yearly average is now 160 cars. This event has improved each year thanks to our active members and event participants.

Hamilton’s Auto Sales has been with the club as our first sponsor and a constant supporter since our first year.  Mary Ann helps with registration while Bob holds down their car lot of classic vehicles.

Allen Perkins has been the MC and the voice of our car show since 1990 and his 9 year old son Jackson, has now began his career as announcer, doing an excellent job during this 20th anniversary show.

After the 2005 event the club voted to discontinue sponsoring the cruise portion due to several reasons with cost, help and safety being the major factors.  We have continued to sponsor the show and currently have no plans to discontinue it.  We however, are not affiliated with, endorsing or sponsoring of the cruise in Cottage Grove.

On July 24, 2010 we will host our 21^st annual show at Coiner Park in Cottage Grove, OR.  There is no fee to come to look at the beautiful vehicles and the enjoy the day under the trees as a spectator.  Car registration fees are listed on this Website.

The SLC Car Club and the show itself is a non-profit organization and event with our yearly goal, solely to make enough funds to continue the next year.

We currently have 26 members and all live in the small community of Cottage Grove, OR
